Shave of the day 5th November

Pre-shave: Dr Bronner’s liquid Peppermint
Lather: Lea shavestick
Brush: Body Shop Synthetic
Razors: Merkur 985CL with a Lord Platinum, and Cadet TTO-13 with a Wilkinson Sword
Post-shave: Cold water rinse, travel sized alum stick and Krampert’s Finest Bay Rum

Still on the Go, sort of, so still shaving from the GoBag. Getting some really nice shaves out of it, so I’m not complaining.

Shave of the day 2nd November

Pre-shave: Dr Bronner’s liquid Peppermint
Lather: Lea shavestick and Arko Cool Ice cream
Brush: Body Shop Synthetic
Razors: Merkur 985CL with a Lord Platinum, and Cadet TTO-13 with a Wilkinson Sword
Post-shave: Cold water rinse, travel sized alum stick and Krampert’s Finest Bay Rum

The mixed lather – shave stick on my face, a touch of cream on the brush – gave a richer, denser lather than either on their own. A very nice shave away from my main den.

Shave of the day 31st October

Pre-shave: Warm water rinse
Lather: Arko Cool Ice cream
Brush: Body Shop Synthetic
Razors: Merkur 985CL with a Lord Platinum, and Cadet TTO-13 with a Wilkinson Sword
Post-shave: Cold water rinse, travel sized alum stick and Krampert’s Finest Bay Rum

Sort of on the go, with an extended Go Kit. A pretty good shave all around, even if I would like more time and a better mirror.

Shave of the day 29th October

Pre-shave: Dr Bronners Soap, liquid Peppermint
Lather: Lea Shave stick
Brush: Body Shop Synthetic
Razors: Merkur 985CL with a fresh Lord Platinum, and Cadet TTO-13 with a fresh Wilkinson Sword
Post-shave: Cold water rinse, travel sized alum stick and Krampert’s Finest Bay Rum

Sort of on the go, with an extended Go Kit. First shave with the Cadet TTO, and a nice one at that. A DFS all told.

Shave of the day 26th October

Pre-shave: Dr Bronners Liquid Peppermint
Lather: Dalan d’Men Energic cream
Brush: New Turkish No6
Razors: Wilkinson Sword Classic, with a Wilkinson Sword blade (3)
Post-shave: Cold water rinse, Alum block and Kramperts Finest Bay Rum

Still busy with my new gear – todays cream was nicely mentholated. A DFS all around, as usual.

Shave of the day 24th October

Pre-shave: Dr Bronners Liquid Peppermint
Lather: GzD shave stick
Brush: New Turkish No6
Razors: Wilkinson Sword Classic, with a Wilkinson Sword blade (2)
Post-shave: Cold water rinse, Alum block and Kramperts Finest Bay Rum

Still breaking in the new gear. The ‘new’ No6 is breaking in quickly, and the GzD made a wonderful lather. A DFS all told.

Shave of the day 22nd October

Pre-shave: Dr Bronners Liquid Lavender
Lather: Derby Lavender Cream
Brush: New Turkish No6
Razors: Wilkinson Sword Classic, with a fresh Wilkinson Sword blade
Post-shave: Cold water rinse, Alum block and Kramperts Finest Bay Rum

An “all new” shave; the cream, brush and razor all arrived last week. A DFS, even if the brush needs a bit of breaking in.

Shave of the day 19th October

Pre-shave: Dr Bronners Liquid Teatree
Lather: Mike’s Natural Unscented Soap
Brush: Vie Long 14033 badger-horse
Razors: Racer and Yuma, both with a unmarked blade
Post-shave: Cold water rinse, Alum block and Kramperts Finest Bay Rum

A DFS all around – just a shame it didn’t last longer.

Shave of the day 17th October

Pre-shave: Cold water rinse
Lather: Walter soap
Brush: Semogue TSN 2012 LE badger-boar brush
Razors: Racer and Yuma, both with a fresh, unmarked blade
Post-shave: Cold water rinse, Alum block and Proraso Liquid Cream

I have a sleeve of blades with no markings, simply packed in translucent paper… but they do give a DFS regardless.

Shave of the day 15th October

Pre-shave: Dr Bronner Magic Soap, liquid orange
Lather: Mike’s Natural Orange, Cedarwood & Black Pepper Soap
Brush: Semogue TSN 2012 LE badger-boar brush
Razors: Merkur 39C slant and Parker 22R, both with a fresh Treet Dura Sharp Classic
Post-shave: Cold water rinse, Alum block and Krampert’s Finest Bay Rum

I seem to be falling into the habit of having a citrus shave on Mondays…
Either the Dura Sharps are bad blades, or I got a dud one – several weepers and a small nick. A bit of alum and Krampert’s Finest will hopefully be enough to patch that up…
