Shave of the day 19 November

Pre-shave: Dr Bronners Liquid Eucalyptus
Lather: Crabtree & Evelyn Sandalwood
Brush: Semogue TSN 2012 LE
Razors: Racer and Yuma, both with a unmarked blade
Post-shave: Cold water rinse, Alum block and Kramperts Finest Bay Rum

Last shave in my den for a while, but it was a DFS. Both the Racer and the Yuma are great performers considering their price.

Shave of the day 14th November

Pre-shave: Dr Bronner’s liquid soap, Orange
Lather: Prairie Creations Walter shaving soap (lemon)
Brush: Semogue TSN 2012 LE boar-badger brush
Razors: Unknown (possible Merkur) German Bakelite Slant with a Wilkinson Sword
Post-shave: Cold water rinse, alum and Krampert’s Finest Bay Rum

Another DFS with an interesting razor – mild for a slant, yet picky about the angle.

Shave of the day 17th October

Pre-shave: Cold water rinse
Lather: Walter soap
Brush: Semogue TSN 2012 LE badger-boar brush
Razors: Racer and Yuma, both with a fresh, unmarked blade
Post-shave: Cold water rinse, Alum block and Proraso Liquid Cream

I have a sleeve of blades with no markings, simply packed in translucent paper… but they do give a DFS regardless.

Shave of the day 15th October

Pre-shave: Dr Bronner Magic Soap, liquid orange
Lather: Mike’s Natural Orange, Cedarwood & Black Pepper Soap
Brush: Semogue TSN 2012 LE badger-boar brush
Razors: Merkur 39C slant and Parker 22R, both with a fresh Treet Dura Sharp Classic
Post-shave: Cold water rinse, Alum block and Krampert’s Finest Bay Rum

I seem to be falling into the habit of having a citrus shave on Mondays…
Either the Dura Sharps are bad blades, or I got a dud one – several weepers and a small nick. A bit of alum and Krampert’s Finest will hopefully be enough to patch that up…

Shave of the day 8th October

Pre-shave: Pure glycerine soap
Lather: Prairie Creations’ KISS cream w/ Tea Tree Oil
Brush: Semogue TSN 2012 LE mixed badger/boar
Razors: Merkur 39C slant and Parker 22R, both with a fresh Perma-Sharp Super blade
Post-shave: Cold water rinse, Alum block and Krampert’s Finest Bay Rum

First shave with the KISS cream – very soft in the consistency, and made for a very frothy lather. Too much water perhaps? I’ll use less next time.
Also getting back into trying out the blades from the various sampler packs I gotten. This one was sharp enough, but not the smoothest. Have to see how it behaves further into the week.
Overall a DFS and a great start on the work week.

Shave of the day 3rd October

Pre-shave: Dr Bronners Magic Soap, liquid Peppermint
Lather: Arko stick
Brush: Semogue TSN 2012 LE brush
Razors: Merkur 25C w/ a 7’O Clock (5) and Gillette 58 TV Special w/ a Lord Platinum (5)
Post-shave: Cold water rinse,  and Alum

Somewhat rushed shave, but still very nice.

Shave of the day 28th September

Pre-shave: Dr Bronners Magic Soap, liquid lavender
Lather: RazoRock XXX
Brush: Semogue TSN 2012 LE
Razors: Merkur 39C slant, Cadet TP-01, both with a Derby Extra blade
Post-shave: Cold water rinse, alum block and Krampert’s Finest Bay Rum

A damn fine Friday shave before spending the day cleaning and re-stacking the attic.

Shave of the day 24th September

Pre-shave: Dr Bronners Magic Soap, liquid Peppermint
Lather: Mike’s Unscented Soap
Brush: Semogue TSN 2012 LE
Razors: Merkur 39C slant, Cadet TP-01, both with a fresh Derby Extra blade
Post-shave: Cold water rinse, alum block and Krampert’s 80 Below

The Derbys ain’t the smoothest of blades, but still a DFS with a refreshing end to it.

Shave of the day 17th September

Pre-shave: Dr Bronners Magic Soap, liquid Peppermint
Lather: Mama Bear’s Awakening
Brush: Semogue TSN 2012 LE brush
Razors: Merkur 25C w/ a 7’O Clock and Gillette 58 TV Special w/ a Lord Platinum
Post-shave: Cold water rinse, alum block and Krampert’s Finest Prototype Menthol

A refreshing and DFS to start the week with.

Shave of the day 12th September

Pre-shave: Dr Bronners Magic Soap, liquid Lavender
Lather: Crabtree & Evelyn Sandalwood
Brush: Semogue TSN 2012 LE badger-boar brush
Razors: Merkur 39C slant and Parker 22R TTO, both with fresh Laser Super Platinum
Post-shave: Cold water rinse, alum block and Krampert’s Finest bay Rum

I wasn’t having too high hopes for these blades based on what I’ve been reading online.. but a DFS none the less.
